Club Etiquette & Dress Code
We’re delighted to welcome visiting societies to Olton Golf Club and want to ensure you enjoy your time both on and off the course. To help us create a great experience for everyone, we kindly ask for your attention to the following guidelines.
Conditions for Visiting Societies
Enjoy Your Visit: We aim to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Details agreed with society organisers are shared with members to help them plan around visitors, so it’s essential to stick to these arrangements.
Recognised Handicaps: We kindly ask that society players hold recognised Club Handicaps. Handicap certificates may be requested.
Final Confirmation: Please confirm final numbers for golf and catering at least 7 days before your event.
Arrival & Check-In: Organisers should report to the Club Office or Club Professional at least 30 minutes before play to confirm details, starting times, and collect green fee tickets.
Tee Times: To ensure smooth operations, we ask for strict adherence to agreed tee times, as members have priority outside of these times.
Playing the Course
Tee Positions: Societies play from the Yellow Tees (Ladies from the Red Tees).
Golf Etiquette: Please ensure your group is familiar with golf rules and etiquette. Help us care for the course by avoiding slow play, repairing pitch marks, replacing divots, and raking bunkers after use.
Trolleys & Buggies: Keep trolleys and buggies off tees, greenside bunkers, and the fringes of greens. Carry bags should also avoid these areas. Electric trolleys and buggies are permitted depending on ground conditions; restrictions and availability can be confirmed on the day or by calling the Course Manager’s daily message at 0121 711 4143.
Mobile Phones: We kindly ask that mobile phones are not used in the Clubhouse or on the course to maintain the club’s tranquil atmosphere.
