I joined the club in 2008 at the age of 11 playing off a handicap of 27. I’d heard great things about Olton, so I applied for membership and was delighted when I got accepted into the golf club. We have a very warm and welcoming membership here. I have made many lifelong friends and it felt like home right from the start. I started to have lessons and I’ve continued to progress. The course is always in superb condition with the greens being the best surfaces I have ever putted on. My biggest praise for the golf course is the top-class condition it is kept in all year round, making it suitable for the various competitions we hold as a club. Our practice facilities are first class with a state-of-the-art indoor swing studio, an excellent putting green, a four bay driving range and a short game area.
Since joining Olton I have achieved...
Sandy Lyle Salver Winner 2014
Warwickshire boys matchplay champion 2015
Warwickshire boys strokeplay champion 2015
Warwickshire boys order of merit winner 2015
Olton Bowl winner 2016, 2018 & 2019
Olton Club champion 2017 & 2018
Represented Warwickshire 1st team
Represented Midland Golf Union
Westlake Trophy winner 2018
Warwickshire amateur champion 2019
Midland Open champion 2019
Qualified in 7th position on 7 under par European Tour School stage 1 (Leading Amateur)
Course record holder at Olton twice with a 63 (-7) and breaking it 18 days later with a 62 (-8)
My handicap was +4, as an amateur and I turned professional in 2021 competing on the Clutch Tour. Olton has been the perfect place for me to progress my game and I would recommend the club to anyone.
